Our
Curriculum

At MMP.kids our curriculum turns play into progress. We blend joyful storytelling with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the official DELF Prim exam to give children (ages 5–10) a clear, motivating path from first French words to confident communication.

The CEFR Foundation

The CEFR gives parents and teachers an internationally recognised checklist of skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. We use it to plan each lesson, measure growth, and keep learning transparent.

We structure our lessons around the CEFR framework, beginning with A1.1, which introduces children to basic skills like greeting others, saying their name and age, and recognising colours, numbers, and common classroom objects. At this stage, children learn primarily through songs, rhymes, and call-and-response activities — all woven into stories starring our characters. As they progress to A1, they begin to ask and answer simple questions, read short sentences, write basic phrases, and follow instructions. Learning is playful, but purposeful — and always aligned with CEFR’s four key skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

DELF Prim Alignment

DELF Prim is the child-friendly diploma series from France Éducation International.

  • A1.1 → “Découverte” diploma

  • A1 → First full beginner diploma

Every MMP unit finishes with practice tasks that mirror DELF Prim sections:

  • 🗣 Production Orale – Speak with Papillon or a classmate

  • 👂 Compréhension Orale – Listen to a short garden scene

  • 📖 Compréhension Écrite – Read labels, signs, or mini-stories

  • ✍️ Production Écrite – Write a greeting card or list

The MMP Approach

At MMP.kids, our curriculum is built on joyful learning. We use stories, songs, and hands-on activities to help children learn French naturally and confidently — inspired by the CEFR and DELF Prim standards.

Key Characters & Their Purpose
🧑‍🏫 Mademoiselle Peace – Gentle guide and teacher
🦋 Papillon – Introduces vocabulary through movement and wonder
📚 Briltek the Board – Leads “Practice Time” quizzes and writing moments
🎶 Chanteur the Bird – Teaches songs and pronunciation through music

We use this approach because it blends imagination with proven learning strategies: repetition, visual context, gentle assessment, and creative play. It keeps children engaged, builds real language skills, and supports both learners and parents every step of the way.
